What is APOD?
Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is one of the most popular websites at NASA. Each day, a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer.

I love APODs, but I found it cumbersome to quickly and easily browse through the APOD archives. To solve this, I wanted to build a simple web app that returned a random set of APODs from 1995 to present and make it easy to see the photos and descriptions. Thanks to NASA's Open Data team, the APOD API makes it easy to return random samples. The design of the site is my attempt to put a Material Design-ish spin on classic NASA colors and style.
